The assembly line is what made Henry Ford famous, so he was able to get more cars out on the road faster than any other car company of the time. The workers didn't have to move so much, mostly standing in their own area as the unfinished cars passed by. They were usually assigned one particular task on each machine...probably the beginning of carpal tunnel and other stressed muscle ailments. by plmiller 11 months ago
