Heh. I am always surprised that some of these deeper topics dont get more attention, but i think this has some insight:

I'm a little surprised this topic hasn't elicited more opinions or comments.

I know a lot of people who have told me that if someone murdered their child or hurt them in any way they would kill that person and they do not care if they spend their life in jail for it... so maybe the death penalty would be a little nicer way of 'dealing' with them as opposed to letting the family of the victim seek revenge.
Ps. I dont think I agree with the death penalty but thought that was a possible pro since I dont think there are that many.
