How about sounds people make when expressing certain emotions: for example: the sound you make when describing how you want to wring someone's neck; or a derisive snort. Of course comics and writers try to describe these sounds, but in the end we only know what they mean because we've made that sound before in the situation we're reading about ( Edited by darkdragonlady)
