A Computer Science professor, who upon learning of his inoperable cancer presented his "last lecture", with suggestions on how to live. It sounds simple, but his words are sincere, insightful, and important.
A lot of rock stars seem pretty satisfied with kicking back and enjoying the spoils of their good fortune. Bono, on the other hand, gets out there and uses his pushy personae to build links with the most powerful people in the world, in order to help those with the least. He has organized benefit concerts, co-founded the ONE campaign, and has worked to relive third-world debt. Pretty cool.

The Canadian author and activist keeps casting the lens on corporate globalization and its effects. I don't always agree with her perspectives, but you have to love those who do so much to present these perspectives and fight for some kind of accountability.
