And as I know Bernath's died this summer,
so he's NOT ALIVE now, sad isnt it?

I would say that you're safe in saying that this is simply self promotion. Ain't it unfortunate when hubris takes on such a painful form?

Perhaps Attila is learning how to paint, but I think this topic may be inaccurately named. I might suggest: Best 7-Eleven night managers who enjoy painting but might be better off concentrating on making “employee of the month.”

Then of course, that would be a long title. I suppose that's why he shortened it to "Best painters alive." I worry that he's missed something there, though. Don't you? ;-)
