Daniel Clowe's cult favorite from 1997 delivers teenage life the best way possible, with a side of sarcasm and bitter wit. http://www.amazon.com/Ghost-World-Daniel-Clowes/dp/1560974273
The Walking Dead is a monthly black-and-white American comic book series published by Image Comics beginning in 2003. The comic was created by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Tony Moore, who was replaced by Charlie Adlard from issue #7 onward, although Moore continued to do the covers through issue #24. The story chronicles the travels of a group of people trying to survive in a world stricken by a zombie apocalypse. The series won the 2010 Eisner Award for Best Continuing Series at San Diego Comic-Con International.
Set just after the dawn of the 21st Century in a world spinning inexorably out of control comes this grim tale of youth versus experience, tradition versus change and what defines a hero. KINGDOM COME is a riveting story pitting the old guard — Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and their peers — against a new uncompromising generation and ultimately in the final war against each other to determine nothing less than the future of the planet. http://www.dccomics.com/dcu/graphic_novels/?gn=1410

Tell us what you think....
My feeling is that anything touched by Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean turns out to be pretty impressive.
