A role-playing game (RPG; often roleplaying game) is a game in which the participants assume the roles of fictional characters and collaboratively create or follow stories. Participants determine the actions of their characters based on their characterization, and the actions succeed or fail according to a formal system of rules and guidelines. Within the rules, players can improvise freely; their choices shape the direction and outcome of the games.

The Suikoden series is loosely based on a classical Chinese novel, Shui Hu Zhuan (Traditional Chinese: 水滸傳; Simplified Chinese: 水浒传; Hanyu Pinyin: Shuǐhǔ Zhuàn, Water Margin), by Shi Naian and Luo Guanzhong. Shui Hu Zhuan is rendered as 水滸伝 in Japanese, and read as Suikoden. Though the games follow an irregular chronological sequence, the entire series takes place within the same world among overlapping histories. In some cases, several characters appear in multiple installations http://www.konami.com/

Tell us what you think....
Oblivion's cool but Chrono Trigger is like the omega daddy of all modern rpgs. sure you can knock on the graphics a little but the story line is fun and the characters actually had emotions unlike the rpgs before it. It set the standard for all of the video games after it and in a way it still does.
im telling you once you do il prob wont see you for a while x)
I'll play Oblivion sooner or later.
you gotta try oblivion dude stop putting it off!
For me, it started with Pokemon Red back in the day so that'll be my 1st.
As for newer games, Mass Effect is what I play now on 360.
