The man is probably the best character actor of our time. Often cast as a villain, wider fame has eluded the London native, I think, because he does his job so well...he BECOMES someone else. And the other person is usually dark. ( Edited by NotableXception )

Dracula (from Bram Stoker\'s Dracula)

No one, not even Lugosi did it better...who else could upstage Anthony Hopkins and make you forgive the casting director for hiring Keanu Reeves?

Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg (from The Fifth Element)

Not so keen about his hair, but still plays a ruthless creep.

#3
Stansfield (from The Professional/Léon)

Oldman plays a pill-popping, sociopathic, government agent...scary and funny.

#4
Drexl Spivey (from True Romance)

He plays a gansta wannabe...first role I saw him play...didn't know he was a Brit until years later. He's just awesome!

#5
Dr. Smith (from Lost In Space)

Again he steals the screen...though from Matt LeBlanc, this is not a challenge.

#6
Ivan Korshunivov (from Air Force One)

He does accents very well...and expresses the maniacal zeal for his character's cause quite well here.

Vote
#7
Lee Harvey Oswald (from JFK)

Plays a real life villain very well here...a dead-on portrayal of Oswald.

Vote
#8
Milton Glenn (from Murder In The First)

Associate Warden Milton Glenn's penchant for cruelty helped shut down Alcatraz...Oldman was the perfect choice.
