This late, classically trained Brit played England's "Caesar" (probably the most notorious and ruthless war-monger) brilliantly. Some actors may be tempted to take their performance over the top to achieve results...McGoohan underplays Longshanks with subtle gestures, glances, and changes in tone. A fantastic performance by a tenured but under-exposed character actor.
