Heath Ledger was the Joker. Jack Nicholson is clearly a fine actor, but Ledger's performance made Jack look like an amateur. Ledger transformed into another...person. His stoop, mannerisms, and fantastic voice made the late, handsome Aussie's visage the last image on one's mind when exiting the theater. Ledger won a well-deserved Oscar for this role and I think we're all sad that it was his last...he would have no doubt earned many more throughout his career.
