Add them Carter--that's the whole point of community generated lists. :-)

Do not understand how neither Equilibrium, Kingdom of Heaven or Sunshine didnt make the top 100

Posted 4 months ago

That helps--I was sort of wondering if you were REALLY musical obsessed. ;-)

Ummm, I forgot to say in my comment that I was talking about West Side Story.

You gotta have at least one musical on the all time best list. The music was strongly jazz influenced and it had comedy, drama and tragedy. What's there not to like?

Four out of 15 ain't too bad. Probably as good as I could do.

Kind of strange to see Die Hard in fifth place. I loved that movie, but I find it hard to consider it one of the "best".

I loved the Godfather, but I wish it weren't number one on every list. There are so many great movies out there!

Life is Beautiful was so touching and funny... if you haven't seen it you've really got to rent it! :)

Best of all time? You gotta have Casablanca on that list. How about West Side Story? The first Terminator rocked!

I have a wack load of favorites, these are just some I can think of at the top of my head...I watch movies quiet often.

I just loved the movies I have listed. There are so many more.

Posted 1 year ago

Oh yes and in classics,. I would have to add The Lion in Winter (original)

Posted 2 years ago

Outside 5 would include The Talented Mr. Ripley, Bourne Trilogy.

Amelie is one of my favorite movies! It's one of a few dvds that I actually went out to go buy. I wasn't that excited about the director's last film though, "A very long engagement"?

Hi Shawna,

If you click on the "vote now" button, you can make selections for any of the items, and add your own. :-)

good to see the shawshank redemption made the top 5 it is my number one. i also would have put goodwill hunting and gone with the wind. edward scissorhands would have been in my top five.

Glad to see everyone here has a sense of humor. What about "Deep Throat"?

Good call Julian. We should all be a little embarrassed by this oversight! (And to think, it was partially filmed in my hometown!)

I can't believe with all the Canadians on here that Strange Brew hadn't been added to the list yet. It has now!

Posted 2 years ago

I just added Bitter Moon. The tough part (or perhaps the good part) about these lists, is that new ideas and selections keep popping into one's mind.

Posted 2 years ago

Tim, if you'd like to add 8 1/2, you can just remove one of your choices and add it as a new one. :-)

Posted 2 years ago

i shoulda posted 8 1/2 of course but didnt. this movie is a masterpiece, a film so brilliant it leaves almost everything else looking like rubbish. a movie that can change the way you think forever. a movie that takes you into the abyss. be afraid.

The Departed? It was good but seriously...of all time?

Posted 2 years ago

Posted 2 years ago

I can't believe Fight Club hadn't yet made the list!
