"North Country" is based on a true event that happened here in Minnesota, but is more a universal story for women(and men) around the world. A woman trying to get a job and keep it, in a "man's world" is still fairly difficult to accomplish. Should a woman get the same pay as a man doing the EXACT same work? YES!! If the job is getting done, NO difference.
