Another archetype: Clockwork Orange is, in many ways, the definitive movie about violent youth.. Unlike 2001, it hasn't inspired a lot of allusions and references in other films, perhaps because it's just too disturbing and controversial. Nevertheless, this movie still has greatness written all over it. Interestingly, it's not actually a very violent film; Kubrick was enough of a master that he could twist his viewers around with implied violence and not resort to cheap gore and shocks as many modern directors do. by Anonymous 4 months ago
