It's not that it was awful, it's just sad to see how irrelevant Kevin Smith's movies seem to have become. I remember thinking his first ones were so funny and unique. This just seemed corny and cliché ridden. (I did laugh a couple of times though.)

WALL-E (promoted with an interpunct as WALL·E) is a 2008 computer-animated-science fiction-romance film produced by Pixar Animation Studios. The film was directed by Andrew Stanton. It follows the story of a robot named WALL-E who is designed to clean up a polluted Earth. He eventually falls in love with another robot named EVE, and follows her into outer space on an adventure. After directing Finding Nemo, Stanton felt Pixar had created believable simulations of underwater physics and was willing to direct a film set in space. Most of the characters do not have actual human voices, but instead communicate with body language and robotic sounds, designed by Ben Burtt, that resemble voices. In addition, it is the first animated feature by Pixar to have segments featuring live-action characters.

Now, I can handle... no, scratch that... I enjoy the odd mindless "shoot 'em up". There's something soothing about car chases, guns and explosions. That being said, some are better than others. Wanted is not. In fact, Wanted is so bad I'd almost rather have a rectal probe than watch it again. It's bad, bad, bad; absurd plot, without the fun to result in a suspension of disbelief. Terribly sexist and unnecessarily cavalier. Oh yes, and really, truly bad. Did I already say that Wanted was bad? I "wanted" some fun escapism. They gave me a lame duck. Pity.
