As I get older, it's increasingly more difficult to stay on top of what new music is being released. Additionally, I think I'm getting a bit more selective with time. As such, I thought it would be a good idea to share a few of the ones I liked. Perhaps you'll add a few of yours as well? ( Edited by karj )

Although there are moments where the pop-nature of this release grow a little tired, I overwhelmingly enjoyed it. Not only are the tracks well paced, the message feels real and optimistic. Plus, Kirk Hammett joins in. Awesome.
Although I don't believe Pearl Jam's Backspacer is a groundbreaking record, I really do like it. It's a quick little record, with many of the tracks not pushing past the three minute mark. In a way, it feels like they've put together a tight set of solid rock songs. It's the same Pearl Jam I've heard in the past, but that doesn't make it any less good.
If you take the time to listen to The National's Boxer once, you'll be disappointed. If you take the time to listen to it more than five times, you'll likely rave about it to all of your friends. The album really grows on you and the tracks have this throbbing sort of feel. I'm glad I found this one.
Some criticized The Hip's "We Are the Same" for being too much like "Trouble at the Henhouse," but that's okay with me--I liked that record too. Still, though, Henhouse felt slower and more brooding. This release feels like the band is at the top of its game: exploring new areas, but pulling it off so darned nicely. I love it!
I stumbled upon this one as a result of a little documentary relating to sample culture. The tracks remind me a lot of Z-trip in the playful cut/paste feel. Surprisingly, mixing Queen and the Jackson Five works out pretty nicely.
