Simply beautiful. I will say no more.

The version at the end of Rattle and Hum was awesome I thought. The strings always get me right in the gut.

This is a split, because the Joshua Tree version is in a different key... making it a bit more upbeat. My favorite is the Rattle and Hum version... lower key, church choir accompanying the band.

I always listening to this song driving across the Cariboo region in British Columbia. If I were to drive the historic Route 66 in the US, I'd have it on full blast.

The Pop album wasn't as big a hit for U2, but I think they hit something special with this song.
