John Dolmayan (born July 15, 1973 in Beirut, Lebanon) is a musician, best known as the drummer for the Armenian-American alternative metal band System of a Down, and current drummer for the band Scars on Broadway. John currently lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was first interested in drums at the age of 2. His father was a saxophone player. When his mother would take him to watch his father play, he would mimic his father's drummer.
Chris (Seven) Antonopoulos joined the Los Angeles hard rock band Opiate for the Masses as a drummer in 2004. Before this time he was a drummer for Vanilla Ice for three years. Opiate for the Masses are currently signed to a recording deal with Century Media Records. On 3 November release Opiate for the Masses and move to german band Atrocity and Leaves' Eyes. Even though John Dolmayan is by far my favourite drummer, there are a few more I just have to mention..
The drummer from Fleetwood Mac is Mick Fleetwood.
This is a tough one, because many of the drummers I respect seem to cross boundaries. For example, Vinnie Colaiuta is a very accomplished jazz musician who has happened to play on some very big albums. Manu Katche has a similar, almost global style of musicianship, and has powered Peter Gabriel, Robbie Robertson, some Tears for Fears tunes, and many other songs.
