Classic, Simpsons have to be the top, they gave us almost 10 seasons of pure gold

I still remeber the first season. All the news media ganging up on them and saying it wouldn't last. Look at them now. Homer is the best. I just love him

haha that's true. Even if the new episodes aren't hailarious, they are NEW episodes...you would think their well of ideas would have run dry already.

Agreed, but I think it has become such a part of our world that we almost take it for granted. It's just "there".

When it goes off the air, I think we'll look back at it more kindly than we do these days. Frankly, I'm amazed that they've managed to keep it up for so long! (Can you imagine how boring the 20th season of Cheers would have been?)

If we are looking at Best TV Show All Time, and looking at the show in it's entire run then no show comes close to The Simpsons. In it's 20th season it shows you the lasting power it has and even though I do agree that the newer ones aren't as funny as the older ones, I would say that The Simpsons overall "funnyness" is above and beyond any other TV show there is.

Such a classic.

I think they might have gotten a bit old, but it's still by far my favourite tv series. Some episodes are classic. And Family Guy and American Dad are basically just rip offs of the Simpsons with crude humor and less funny jokes. Especially with Family Guy, there is also a tendency to waste time, like, ALOT of time and it's really annoying.

I love the simpsons, but its getting to old and none creative...Family guy and American dad are taking over. and if you over the age of 18; please watch The Boondocks.
