Each season leaves us hanging, with a little more understanding of what's going on, but not much. Given that we still have months to wait until we get more installments, my friends and I have started to come up with our own theories on just what is up with that island and how it all will wrap-up. Lost, theories, ending, mysteries
The island was stuck in a time warp. Paused in the year 2000. Which explains why Locke was no longer crippled or Rose did not have cancer, because those events happened after the year 2000, in the "real world". This is why the button would have to be pressed constantly to prevent the island from moving forward in time. Now that the button has been ignored, the island's magnetic time warp field has been destroyed, and the island is discoverable.
It is all within Hurley's mind in the mental hospital. All people in the show are people that Hurley has met either at the institution or throughout his life.
The island is a government testing ground. The people of Flight 815 were actually selected as testing subjects to find worthy inhabitants for a new utopia civilization. The survivors are subjected to psychological, physical and moral tests on the island. Survival of the fittest.

It's such a great show! I'm amazed that it made it in a primetime slot on a major network. Most of these sorts of shows only have a chance of making it on HBO. Mark, you really have to take some time out to watch it!
Time standing still is a great theory. Actually, so is Hurley's mind trap. I don't think there is anyway we will predict though!
ooh, i totally thought it was the series finale this year. I was excited so i could stop hearing people talking about it! darn. haha. i'll try and find time to watch it. probably wont have any until 2010!
No, just the season. I believe there are 2 more seasons to come. 2010 is when it is supposedly ending. You should spend a week, get the dvds. It's the best way to take it all in!
didn't the show end already? or does it air differently in canada? its over in the US. I still havent watched a SINGLE episode. haha. I'm thinking about spending a week and watching it, but i dont really know how much i want it.
