As an original SNL "Not Ready for Primetime" player, Jane usually worked as the "straightman" in the sketches...bantering with John Belushi at the anchor desk, as Enid Loopner in the "plumber" sketches, and as the Mom on the conehead sketches. She played a foundation part to help SNL succeed in the early days and gets my vote as a premier comedy artist.
