The best: Sophocles, Aeschylus, Euripides and Aristophanes. Shakespeare, in fourth place. Though most of the work of the Greek quartet was lost, what remains is top class. Shakespeare\'s authorship is obscure and a group of people early on and throughout the years contributed to each of his plays in diverse ways.
