Next topic: Top 5 places to be if zombies attack
With a young child, it seems tough to get away for meals past 6:00 pm. As a result, my wife and I have become accustomed to eating out in the mornings instead. Here are a few suggestions on great places for breakfast in Vancouver. ( Edited by karj )
Vancouver, Breakfast, eggs, waffles, benny
$2.95 all-day breakfast. That's all I have to say!
A hole in the wall, with friendly people in a down-home setting. It's a great little spot!
A bit of a victim of its success, we hardly get there anymore. If you do, however, try Slickity Jim's, arrive early, as it fills up quickly. They have quite amazing veggie sausage, and good, hearty meals.
Overrated, but still a good deal for good food (on 4th in Kits)
Yes, the WHOLE market. A little comething for everyone--always fresh and yummy with atmosphere to boot.
I shouldn't mention this place, as I'd rather it wasn't too popular. The reality, however, is that the cat's already out of the bag. Superb food and sensible portions at budget prices; it also has the most kid-friendly atmosphere in the city.
Two locations: Kits and Westend, both are rockin' value for rockin' food. The Westend one is little less crowded, generally.
Believe it or not, the good ol' Spot has some great breakfast options, especially for families. Just avoid the one on Georgia and Cardero--the service has consistently sucked for the past year at that location.
Perhaps one of the finest little bistros in the city, Brioche has a savory breakfast menu as well. It's a "must" at any time of day, but I particularly like the fresh fruit in the mornings coupled with the croissant with eggs and smoked salmon. Yummy and well worth a visit!
Tell us what you think....
Hey from which place is this picture from?
St.James Cafe on Boundary is awesome, they have a new cook/owner who is a very nice guy and takes pride in his work....delicious eggs benny!!!
I'm with you there--and we have so many great places in town!
Eating out for breakfast is my favourite thing to do. I think it beats any other meal out.
Elbow Room on Davie St.... if you can take the abuse, it has the best jalapeño sour dough bread ever!
I know my daughter will pick Mcdonald's.
Is it called the Tomahawk Grill now? I grew up in that place, loved it. It's the first place I remember having boston cream pie, pecan pie, strawberry pie...... mmm the coffee is great too. I suggest the Skookum Burger and Yukon Breakfast!
So get in there and add them crazycroat! :-)
Uuuuu... You missed a couple of places you shouldn't have missed... Crepe Bretagne! Cafe Zen White Spot... well... really shouldn't be on this list!
Good picks Wil! I haven't been to most of your choices. (Now Amea and I have a few new places to check out on the weekends!)
