Three-buck Chuck! VERY good! Charles Shaw is a brand of "extreme value" wine. All from California vineyards, Charles Shaw wines currently include Cabernet Sauvignon, White Zinfandel, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz, Valdigue in the style of Beaujolais nouveau, and limited quantities of Pinot Grigio. These wines are sold exclusively by Trader Joe's grocery stores, and sell for $1.99 in California. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Shaw_wine
very $$$, but worth every penny when you come across a good one

Wow, does this list say a LOT about MakeFivers!
I strongly suggest 2006 Elk Cove Pinot Noir. One of the best Pinots I have ever tasted.
I love wines that are under $20 - www.barreltobottles.com
I had this once at the Vancouver International Wine Festival, although I can't remember the name. It was a Spanish Port that had raisin and honey balanced with a smokey pepperiness. mmmmmmmm
Check out http://full-bodied.blogspot.com/ Fun little wine blog. My votes go for anything BC - Sumac or Burrowing Owl maybe?
