I am presently drinking my first bottle of Malbec 2006 from Trapiche. It is probably one of the least expensive bottles of Malbec that one can purchase here in Toronto, Canada. It's price belies it's quality. A remarkably good wine that can be served to anyone from the Novice (me) to a dedicated vinophile (is that a word!?!) without embarassment. A fine quaffing wine (my highest compliement) with lots of charactor; very dry but fruity balance, not overly oaked but plenty of tanins. It is drinkable now but I don't have experience enough to say if it would age (but with wine this good -and inexpensive- who wants to delay the opening!). In my short experence with better quality wine (read much more expensive) I highly recommend this wine for any occasion.
