Sunday became the first day of the week. Named after the Sun, Sunday translates from the Latin dies solis, or day of the sun. In Roman myth, Apollo was the god of the sun and of healing, so sick people prayed to him. Each day he drove his chariot of fiery horses across the sky to give light to the world. Great for you and like taking a mini trip every time...
Tell us what you think....
I'm pretty happy with the way it is. The kids are great. That being said, a morning of sleeping in certainly wouldn't be frowned upon. :-)
I remember! Now, as "empty-nesters", we can do what we want, again...there is hope;)
I have to say that this whole list becomes very different upon the arrival of children. My wife and I used to sleep in, get a breakfast at 10:00, and then sit at a coffee shop and read our books. (That now seems terribly unrealistic.) Somehow, we're now up at 6:00 on Sundays, wondering why most restaurants don't open until "so late". (Sigh.)
