Every year millions of people say they will do something to make themselves better then last year. With Obama in office the world is looking for true change from the US. I believe that inspiration from Bush leaving will drive more people to do more for themselves and for their country. What will your resolutions be? will you really stick to them this time? Eat Better

Gotta get into the broccoli and fish before its too late! And fruit instead of chocolate or cake. Especially blueberries.

Go To The Gym More Often

This is something that just has to happen. Too many hours spent doing meaningless things which leads to obesity in the US and abroad. We all must get out and go.

Lower expectations

The problem with New Year's resolutions is that they're overly optimistic. Most of us won't lose that extra ten pounds (or in my case twenty), most won't exercise, eat better, or spend less. The question is why we should bother. Most of us are fine as we are. We likely don't need to change much or be better people. We just are who we are. And if we get out of the way of all of these ridiculous media-fed expectations of what we deserve, want, need, et cetera, we're free to enjoy what we have. Most of the time, everything's pretty awesome as it already is. (Sorry if this is overly "Pollyannaish".)

Spend More Time With Family

So many people spend 80+ hours a week working these days. Time is too precious for that, lets make hours to enjoy life with those we care about most.

My hope is that most people can find a way to stop smoking. The addiction feeds and you need the next hit, but people need to find ways of stopping. The expense, environment and health are worth more then the cig.

It's on the list. We just have to keep some cash rolling to keep building this stuff out! :-)

City guides ftw!

This is going to be a HUGE part of Make in the future. In my mind Yelp is handy, but sort of boring. With time, we'll have more room for you to share your thoughts about specific places, and for them to contribute content as well.

I think this can be such a great tool. When I was in Boston I was completely stuck for places to eat. I would have loved to have relied on MakeFive for local suggestions! :-)

I agree about the google index help with the massive amount of topics, I just liked the buckshot analogy.

If anyone else was from Phoenix around here, I'd start talking about great places to eat (great noodle place today at lunch...japanese noodles, delicious!)

Now I want to go eat breakfast for dinner :)

To be honest, I'm okay with people creating lots of topics. If we get a lot of them, we index better on Google and more people find the site. (This is a good thing.)

The thing that I wish for (let's make this my Christmas wish), is the "why". So, if you put The Naam Restaurant* in your top five for the Best breakfast place in Vancouver, I want you to tell me why you did so.

That's the interesting part of this site, and unfortunately, it's largely missed, because of points and the rush to add more stuff. Guys (and by this, I mean everyone in the MakeFive community), your reasons are at the heart of this site!

* Incidentally, the Naam is a lovely place for breakfast in Vancouver. The line-ups are too long and the servers sometimes seem to be unaware of what’s going on; however, the food is awesome. The “miso bennies” are unbelievably good!

You make topics like you're firing buckshot. One of them is bound to hit and cause some damage, or in this case, be a good topic. This is a good topic.

Would be interesting to see if everyone keeps up their resolutions, I know I always falter.
