Although it's difficult to find an restaurant with any available seating on Valentines day, it's certainly a nice way to spend the evening. That being said, I've always been impressed by those who use Valentines Day as a time to highlight their creativity. Perhaps it's not just a night for a "fancy" dinner, but maybe a unique picnic in an unexpected place, or making your loved-one's favorite dinner at home.
Although it's a bit of a cliche, it's unlikely that you'll go wrong on Valentines day by choosing chocolate as a gift. First of all, many talk of chocolate being an aphrodisiac, which it may very well make it the perfect Valentines gift. Moreover, if you're dumped for someone else at the last moment, at least you'll have some form of nourishment for the evening. (Me a cynic? Well... perhaps.)
I understand why diamonds are on the list for "Top five Valentines day Gifts", but I really wish they weren't. Diamonds have a horrible legacy, and I wouldn't give them to my Valentine under any circumstances. (In fact, my wife would likely ask for a divorce if I bought her diamonds for Valentines.) That being said, there's no questioning that these have become an icon of "romance"--perhaps one of the greatest swindles in brand/marketing history.
I've never been a fan of the dozen red roses thing on Valentines day, but that doesn't make it any less of a classic choice. Personally, I'd lean towards something a little more unique and elegant: maybe something with clean whites or a bright spring-like bouquet. If you do, however, choose to go the "roses" route, you're probably not going to be alone. One source reports, "189 million stems of roses are sold in the U.S. on Valentines Day and 1.2 billion throughout the year." (Holy moly!)
I'm surprised by this item being here. Perhaps it's being a guy, but it always struck me that this was more of a "possibility" if things went well than something one would "give" on Valentine's Day. That being said, if your special someone thinks that sex is a valid gift on Valentines Day I suggest starting with this one. Perhaps I'll try this with my wife. Ummm... Nah, I think I'll just go for the chocolate--I suspect she'd enjoy that more. ;-)
I really love to wear hear shape pendant. it all time my favourite. Infact Red color is giving me more attractive look. http://www.vintageyard.com/pendants
This happens to be a Pembroke Welsh corgi, but you can find a cute puppy at your nearest animal shelter.
