The 1960's produced some of the most beautiful, and -for their time - advanced driving machines ever. Their era is coming to a close. I had to sell my beloved 1969 BMW 2002ti because there was no way to meet emissions control regulations without gutting it. Plus, it got 8 miles to the gallon. Nothing like these cars will ever be seen again. ( Edited by srlong )

Tell us what you think....
We too are driving an Odyssey, which is actually pretty handy. That being said, I'd love to have a "toy" someday too. (It likely will be a lower budget model than those noted in this list.)
according to wikipedia the Ferrari I added was only produced from 1962 untill 1964. Only 36 cars were made!
Don't I know it! Our main "unit" is a 4 year old Honda Odyssey. Thank god I don't live in Southern California anymore, where what you drive is more important than what you wear! And I have a 25 y.o. pickup. I still miss the Fiat 124 sport coupes, and my beloved BMW 2002ti. Oh, and "unit" is really used here to mean anything from a snowmobile to a combine harvester, just like in the movie!
I only wish! Given the kids, we've decided that our vehicle of choice (for the time being) is a minivan. (Sigh.)
Karj, have you driven the Porsche? I've driven the 912. Similar style to the 60's 911 but with the 356 engine, among other thing. Like a rocket sled....
Thanks for the adds, BnafetS! Great choices! The Ferrari is perfect, intro'd in the 40's, so I didn't think it fit in this category, even though it was sold in the US until - I think - '64. May be time for a new topic!
I've always thought the 911 was one of the most beautiful pieces of industrial design. It really has hardly changed over its history. (For the time being, I'll just admire from afar though.)
just added the Ferarri 250 GTO & Porsche 911. I think the 911 is still one of the most known Porsche cars around!
Lovely cars!
