Seattle's a great city. I try to get down there every few months and just walk around, but I rarely get more than a day. Here are some fun things to do if you're there, but a little tight for time. ( Edited by karj )

Visit the Peter Miller Architecture and Design Bookstore

I spent a good 4 hours in there, just looking around and texting myself books to buy cheaper @ amazon later on.

Go to the Seattle Public Library

Designed by Rem Koolhaus, it's a very fun place to explore. 1000 4th Avenue (between Spring and Marion)

Get a piroshky

Down at the market is a little place called Piroshky Piroshky. It is heaven. I love piroshkys as much as scotch. They are amazing. Really, just do it. Really.

Tour around Belltown

Lots of great little shops, restaurants, and old buildings. It's like a Yaletown (Vancouver) that doesn't feel phony.

Visit the Fremont Troll

You have to go out of your way a little, but the Fremont Troll is a neat little surprise. (Afterwards you might like to grab lunch in the area.)

Go to the Seattle Art Museum

I've only been to the old SAM, but the new one looks just lovely.

Take Bill Speidel\'s Underground Tour

It's a little like walking around a moldy basement, but it's still sort of fun. Good stories, a nice little break, a few too many corny jokes. Still, something you likely don't do too commonly.

Peter MIller Books Store is an incredible store. But you are a disgusting human being if you think its clever texting yourself books and buying them on amazon. You shouldnt be allowed in the bookstore
