The Modern Drummer festival is in upstate New York, so I'll do that then spend a few days in NYC! I had a grand total of one day there in 2004, and am looking forward to some more time there.

Bright lights, big city... and maybe see a show or two.

This ship is the actual replacement to the lost Queen of the North. She'll be nearly 150 meters long, with lots of viewing opportunities along the scenic Inside Passage from Prince Rupert to Port Hardy. the ship is now under construction.

Way up in BC's far north is the Liard River Hotsprings Provincial Park. It's an oasis along the Alaska highway, with sulphur fed hot pools and all sorts of wildlife. If I didn't get dehydrated, I'd sit in one of the pools for days! It's a gem among BC's parks.
