However, Wikipedia also cites the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce to also be the fourth largest by deposits. The Bank of Montreal was founded in 1817, making it Canada's oldest bank. In Canada, the company operates as BMO Bank of Montreal and has more than 900 branches.
