In my view, Apple logo is a best practice.

this logo makefive should be based on the meaning and thought put into the design,not well known companies.I mean sure McDonalds is popular but it means fat and overweight.the WWF is a logo that means something, something important.

Violet, i think you can look at it as which brands have seeped into the culture the most, more brand effectiveness than brand beauty. I often find that's the case when looking at some of these lists here, or on any site.

When companies are hugely successful, it's difficult to be objective about their brand. It's easy to assume that since the company is successful, its branding is as well.

Could be - would be cool to see comments of what people love specifically about "X" logo.

I think a lot of people are adding companies they know and like and not logos they like. I was under the assumption that this was about logos and what is good about them. The slickness of the design, or does the logo seem to represent what the company stand for? hmm, but I guess that is just my take on it. Okay rant over, lol :-)

I guess this is testament that we are still enthralled with the big brand company!!???

So weird that most of these logos are recognizable icons all over the world!!
