The McDonalds logo is a great logo that i hate. I voted for it because its unmistakeable but at the same time its tired and old.

At the older McDonald's restaurants, they have a single huge arch right out front, meaning you can see them from far away and say "aha! A McDonald's, I know what to expect there, I'll go there." Yellow is a very important choice too, and the double arches reinforce the M and create a deeper mental association.
