If anyone reads Dot Dot Dot, I think they have a great way of creating interesting, important magazines. They focus less on advertising, placing all the ads at the back, without flash, and focusing more on articles, writing.
Print, Wired, etc, have tons of ads, so much so that you lose focus sometimes of whats real and whats banners. Also, i hate the paper sample adverts, it makes it so hard to just flip through the magazine, or fold it back and enjoy the read.
I'd like to see more predictive articles too, not just "heres whats cool now!" or "be sustainable" 5 years too late. Its about prediction, about entertainment and education and stronger presentation of design ideas. Architecture does this, why can't graphic/web design?
