I agree arsmephisto, to me inspiration is just the starting point towards the end goal. Its the gun shot @ the start of a race that helps you get going.
Focus on inspiration when you work on design/art or any other creative activity may be negative. It is just a part of the process. But hey, this is just what I think.
I think I get most of my inspiration for design from non-design related sources.
