Let me expound about the prices, if educations was completly handled by the localities some localities would privatize their schools. With the extra money people arn't paying in taxes most people would be able to afford these schools, since their will now be many schools competing for these students which create quality. Although given the families at the bottom might still not be able to afford these new lower prices. The local community can decide how to help this constituency whether it be with school vouchers, non-profit/church run schools supported by local donations, or home schooling. In the end the community who faces the problem would be best suited to fix the problem as they would understand the nuances of their community. I can't assume that blanket solution is a one size fits all, life is too dynamic for that. It's why we have a republic, not a democracy. Since when is mob rule a good idea?
