One of the coolest names in pitching history. My dad always mentioned this guy and Mickey Mantle when speaking about the greatest pitchers. His numbers are incredible. Check out the video highlights of his career. ( Edited by webdesign)

Well Koufax, you are a 3-time Cy Young Award winner, 3-time World Series Champ, 2-time World Series MVP, 4-time NL TSN pitcher of the year, and you threw a perfect game vs the Cubs in September 9, 1965. You are in third place in my list for the greatest pitchers of all-time, but it's not bad having only two pitchers greater than you (Walter Johnson #1 and Nolan Ryan #2) out of all the pitchers who have pitched in the majors. In the community you are the 2nd greatest pitcher of all-time. So that means that everyone has dif. opinions. -Bigtrain Paulin

Koufax, you have been one of my favorite pitchers of all-time. The thing that I like most about you is you curveball. I love watching pitchers buckling the hitters with those benders. I read about you in wikipedia and it said that some say you're gay. I hope that's not true. If it is, I will be praying for you. If it's not, I hope those people apologize to you. Anyway, back to baseball, in the community, someone has commented that Randy Johnson was perhaps the best left-handed pitcher of all-time. The keyword in that sentence is PERHAPS because I think it was you. Not only do you hold the record for most strikeouts in a single season, but you also have thrown the most no-hitters as a southpaw (left-handed pitcher) w/4, and your eleven career seasons has been more successful than Randy Johnson's first 11 seasons. I wish I could see you some day, so we can talk about baseball. -Adiel Paulin

Koufax, you were in the competion for the #2 best pitcher of all-time in my opinion ever since Walter Johnson got 1st place. Your only opponent was Nolan Ryan. He beat you because he threw more no-hitters and struckout more hitters than you. And he fanned 15 or more batters in a game more times than you did. Sorry you lost. So you were going to get 3rd place unanimously, right? That is incorrect because Randy Johnson was opposing you. But guess what, you won! My first comment explains why I chose you over Randy. Well, you didn't get first or 2nd place, but hey third place is not bad at all. Infact, it's so good because I've never seen a 4th place trophy before.

It was hard to choose for me to choose the 3rd best pitcher of all-time. As a matter of fact it was hard to choose the best left-handed pitcher of all-time. I had to choose between Sandy Koufax and Randy Johnson. Well they both not only played in dif. yrs, but they also played for dif. amount of seaons. Koufax played for 11 seasons, Johnson played for more seasons. So I compared their stats for Sandy Koufax's 11 seasons to Randy Johnson's 1st eleven seasons. Altough Johnson won the more awards in his career, he did not have more than koufax throughout his first 11 career seasons. And he did not through as much no-hitters or World Series MVP's as Koufax, not even in his whole career. So, sorry Randy, I will have to choose Sandy.
