Yup, that's part of the plan. I think we'll likely have an area above the comments that reads "Why I voted for this". This content will be directly pulled from the individual's list, so that it's showcased in two spots.

Personally, my big thing is that I want to find new things, but I want a reason for why I should try them out. For example, when I first heard about Six Feet Under, I had no interest in watching it. But, once it was explained to me, I felt compelled to watch.

This site could very well add in all of the functionality of Yelp, but be far more broad in scope. (i.e. Use it to talk about the best restaurants in town, or what you think will be the fate of the Republican party, or anything else.)

Well, at least that's what we're hoping for!

That is a dope Idea, perhaps the comments could be like they are on yelp, the last person to comment there is a little blurb, that would be cool.

We're trying to balance things out by tweaking the points. We've done this already, but the changes won't be live until later today. Users will still get points for voting, but more for adding images and descriptions.

The big points, however, come from going into one's personal lists and writing explanations for each of one's choices. I think those are at 50 points per rationale. These will add up quickly, and make the selections way more interesting to read through for others.

Offer some incentive or make it mandatory for a user to add 1 comment about "X" post. Maybe they need to include an image or link or video to get any points.

I found my usage started to drop about six months ago. I like the site and they're doing amazing things with it. That being said, I find that I don't get engaged in is as much as I "look around". In fact, I still find old-school discussion threads to be more consistently compelling.

That's still my big hope for MakeFive. While Facebook is an amazing social network, friend management tool, platform, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera; I just want MakeFive to be a GREAT conversation.

It would be nice if people got to the office in the morning and just thought, "Hmmm, I wonder what people are talking about on MakeFive today?"

The trick then is to get people talking more here, explaining their reasons for voting on things. As that continues to happen, MakeFive gets increasingly interesting.

Myspace is seems easier to work with via iPhone app then their actual site which is so awful.

I still use Facebook, but less all the time. I just find it too time consuming. Lately I've been using twitter a bit more, but I do find it a little overly time sucking as well.

MakeFive, on the other hand, is always a good use of time. ;-)

I hate Myspace. FB rocks. MakeFive rocks.

My bet is that Facebook will eclipse MySpace in users this year.

Its all so Nice, that facebook is around... I prefer this to Myspace anyday.
