I have been a Windows user since 3.1 (MS-DOS 6.0) was on my 486-33 (which i bought from a certain makefive creator). I followed the upgrade path up to XP and was about to progress to Vista.... until i tried it!
Two weeks ago i bought a 24" iMac.... And i love it, It just works! I have not found anything i can't do (or download) for the mac.

The main reason for apples resurgence, is because after over a decade they finally built their OS on top of the NEXT OS (UNIX). Up till that point, they were a dedicated exercise in frustration!

I switched to Apple after getting a PowerMac G5 at work... :)
Now the center of my home has a shining iMac + eyetv hybrid ... soo happy, using a mac is thruly amazing. It's a joy to work with... never thought that about my Windows PC's...

Macs are severely underrated simply because the majority of people/companies have run on windows for so long. People are hesitant to change and aren't really presented with a need to. Most people just need their computers for a couple of things (internet, word-processing) and they're fine with windows. Only people who look at all options and aim to get the best OS for their lives are likely to switch.
