MakeFive is a way for you to connect with others through what you think. It allows you to create lists about what you like, hate, believe, remember, and more. You can use these lists to simply introduce who you are, or you can use the system to help you meet others who share your thoughts.
The possibilities for this are rather limitless. Maybe this is a virtual "night at a bar", where you talk about your favorite bands in college and learn about new ones. On the other hand, it could be an opportunity to document the greatest moments of your life, and remind loved-ones of them. What you do with it is up to you, just be creative and have a little fun.

Of course, what fun would it be without us looking over your shoulder? Actually, the guidelines for using this site are pretty simple. Just be respectful of others and avoid doing mean things. It's mostly common sense. That being said, if you'd like an in-depth overview, read our Community Guidelines.

At this time, MakeFive is entirely free of charge to users. (As much as we think you'll like this, we know that you probably don't want to pay for things on the web any more than we do.) We do sell some ads on the site, and that covers our expenses and even promises to leave us with enough to grab the occasional beer on a Friday night.

Honestly, we're not really sure yet. It's brand new, so it's hard to know who all it appeals to. That said, we don't really see any limitations to it. While pre-teens might discuss their preferred brand of lip gloss, foodies might share their best recipes, and stock-market followers might share their thoughts on picks about to skyrocket. See what we mean? It's for everyone. That said, we could probably give you a more accurate idea in a couple of months.

We just ask the community to bring it to our attention by either flagging it as inappropriate or marking it as spam. Our trusty moderators then review the marked content to ensure that it hasn't been flagged in error. In instances when content is really inappropriate, we remove it from the site.
In our minds, most people are generally respectful of one another. As such, if they post something rotten, it's likely just a momentary lapse of judgment. Then of course, there are some who repeatedly do less than nice things. Our moderators suspend their privileges and ask them to stand in the corner.
