Can I get an account for my business?

No. MakeFive is intended for personal use only. That being said, MakeFive welcomes the opportunity to work with companies who would like to reach audiences who would appreciate their products or services. As such, you are welcome to contact us at advertise@makefive.com to discuss opportunities, explore special offers which could be made to select Members, or to advertise on MakeFive.

 

How do I close my account?

Login to the website, and go to the "Account" area in "My Profile". You'll find an option for deactivating your account here.

 

How do I re-open an account I previously closed?

You can't re-open your account directly. To request that we reactivate your account, contact us with your name, username, and email address.

 

Why was my account suspended?

If you have logged in to find a suspended note, your account has been suspended due to repeat or severe violation of our Terms of Use. Users with suspended accounts are prohibited from creating new accounts or accessing any Member features. If you feel that your account was suspended in error, contact our Support folks at: support@makefive.com. Please note your name, username, email address in the email, and explain why your account should be reactivated.

 

What does MakeFive do to protect my privacy?

We allow all Members to control the level of access that others have to your Profile and urge them to carefully consider how they adjust these settings. Although Members are welcome to contact you in the MakeFive website, we will not display your email address to other site users. Although we work to shield our users from malicious behavior, we must stress no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. We cannot control the actions of other users; therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that content you post on the site will not be viewed by unauthorized persons.

How do I change my MakeFive username?

MakeFive usernames cannot be changed.

How can I be safer on MakeFive?

We suggest that you:

• Never share your passwords

• Understand and carefully consider the privacy settings you choose

• Report any people who post offensive or illegal content

• Block anyone who is sending you inappropriate content

• Carefully consider the consequences of any content you choose to make public

What should I do if I find an offensive post?

Just click on the "Flag as inappropriate" text beneath the comment, or near the description of the Topic/Item. This will alert administrators of a concern, and we will review it as quickly as possible. Please note that some things that may seem objectionable to you may be deemed acceptable by MakeFive administration. If you wish to learn more about how we determine which information is suitable for the site, you can review our Community Guidelines or our Terms of Use. Additionally, the volume of data we have to review over a day can vary. As such, it sometimes takes a little while for us to review your concern. That being said, we feel user safety is very important and do our best to weed out any inappropriate behavior as quickly as we can.

 

How do I control my privacy settings?

Login to the site and go to "My Profile" here, you can choose how much access visitors (other than those you have made Friends) have to your information. We've limited the choices in order to keep them straight forward. Please carefully consider the level of access you feel comfortable in granting others.
