Notes are comments that you can leave on another user's Profile. Some Members will only accept Notes from their friends; whereas, other Members are open to receiving Notes from anyone. You can also make a Note in your own Notes if you'd like to share something with your friends. If you would like to modify who you accept notes from, go to the Contact Settings area in "My Profile", and choose which option best suits your preferences.
Find the Member's Profile page, and select the "Send an email" option under Contact Options. Please be respectful in your correspondence with others. If a recipient of your mail feels that your message was inappropriate, they can block you from contacting them again in the future.
When you login, you will be directed to a personalized homepage. On the right side of this page, you'll find a section called Activity Highlights. This area Lists any new friend requests, email messages, notes, or incomplete Lists waiting for you.
Yes. Both your Notes and Mail areas have "Block" options associated with them. Choosing "Block" will bar any future correspondence from this user to you. The blocked user will not be notified of your choice to block their messages. Should you at some point choose to remove the block rule that you have applied to a person, you can do so by going to the "Account" area under "My Profile", and augmenting the person's status.
Deleted mail stays in your "Deleted" section for 15 days. After that time it cannot be recovered.
Adding Friends is easy. Just find the Profile of someone you know, and choose the "Ask (name) to become a friend". From there on in, they simply have to reciprocate by approving your friends request.
Navigate to "Friends" in the "My Profile" area of the site. In this area you'll find index cards for all of your friends. In these cards, are a set of options that allow you to view their friends, send a message, or remove them from being your Friend. This will remove this person from your Friends List, and you from theirs.

In the "Friends" area under "My Profile" is a utility that allows you to import email addresses from popular email programs such as Hotmail and GMail. This is a quick way to let your friends know about the site. That being said, we often find bulk emails a little frustrating; so, we suggest contacting your friends about MakeFive one at a time, when you find a Topic that might interest them. When you find such a Topic, just choose the "Share this Topic with a friend" option, and an email will be sent to them on your behalf.
In the "Mail" area in "My Profile", you can choose to view Notifications. This area Lists all of the people who have asked to become your friend. You can accept or deny their request, or send them a message if you need further information from them first.
Topics and Items both contain Discussion areas that allow Members to post comments. As long as you are logged-in, you can post a comment on any Topic or Item that you wish to share your thoughts on.
You can't. Once you've made a comment it's there to stay. As such, we urge you to be polite and think carefully about the appropriateness of the comments you choose to post.
Not really, but the community does. If you say something that Members deem to be in violation of the Community Guidelines, they can mark your comment as inappropriate, which will flag the comment for review by an administrator.
