1. Marlon Brando

Anyone with a true interest in film has to go with this. "On the waterfront" blew my mind. Godfather is obviously one of the best movies ever and I loved him in a streetcar named desire. Although very unlikable as a person, I have to admit he was very funny in interviews and he could play anyone and you would believe him.

2. Dustin Hoffman

I just find this guy so easy to watch. He could play anyone and I would still like him! Even though I do enjoy watching him I never feel like I'm watching an actor (Unless he wants you to) as he is so transparent. Watchable? Arguably the best. Believable? One of the best for sure. What more do you want from a screen actor?

3. Michael Caine

The poor, working class cockney kid who worked hard and eventually had his name up in lights in Hollywood. What a story. What an actor. I must confess I am a bit of cult fan and regret not having him higher up. I've seen all of his films at least once, apart from the one he doesn't want people to watch! A truly believable actor who I could watch for hours doing hardly anything. I tried to make a top 5 list of films once but my mind blew up because I love so many of them too much.

4. Robert De Niro

When filming "Limitless", Bradley Cooper said that when acting with him, when De Niro said something, Cooper would say "Sorry, Bob, What was that?" unaware he was just saying his line. That is how good an actor he is! The thing is, whatever he doing, whoever he is playing, it just feels right. I could watch a ten second scene of him and become lost in it.

5. Tom Hanks

This guys owned film for pretty much a decade. Why? Let's take a look at some of the most critically acclaimed films of the past 20 odd years... Big, Forrest Gump, Philadelphia, Sleepless in Seatle, You've Got Mail, Cast Away, Catch Me if you can, Green Mile.. the list goes on... What a beautiful actor.
