1. 2008 Volkswagen Rabbit

I drive a GTI, which is essentially a souped up Rabbit, so I can attest to the quality of these cars, both inside and out. For the money, there is no car on the road that has as nice of interior materials and the engine is pretty zippy yet fuel efficient.

2. 2009 Mazda3

The 2009 Mazda3 is totally redesigned and looks more like a miniature Lexus IS now instead of something that is competition for Corollas and Civics. Kudos to Mazda for putting out a killer entry-level car.

3. 2008 Scion tC

A few years back, when this car first came out, I thought it was one of the coolest cars on the road for anywhere near its price point. It's still a really nice looking car at a pretty amazing pricepoint.
